FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 2003

Clyde R. Jones and UnderCover Productions presents: Ain't No Sunshine When He's Home

The Story:

A family in turmoil, the Gibson's, consist of a middle-aged mother and father Loren and Annetta; teenage son Scottie and daughters Sue and Kim both in their early twenties. Millie Mae is family matriarch the one who anchors the family.  The one thread they all have in common is that they are a family in crisis.

Loren is an alcoholic, who despite his attempt to receive counseling, retains an easily triggered temper and a violent disposition.  He lives under a veil of ignorance, as he watches his family self-destruct.  No one seems to realize the downward spiral in which they are headed.

Loren's son Scotty has inherited his father's anger and violent ways; daughter Sue trades her virginity for the fast lane and dangerous flirtation with AIDS.  Loren is enraged by his wife's dependence on religion, which she uses to get through life's everyday problems.  Annetta is the epitome of a verbally and physically abused woman.  One day Loren challenges his wife's religion and suggests that Satan exists only in men's minds.  He also believes that there is no spiritual realm in which evil attempts to control.

Faced with his son's impending death from a gunshot wound, Loren calls upon God.  When it appears that he doesn't get a response from his prayers, he decides to join the boy in death.  However, God has other plans.  His eyes are finally opened when he witnesses the battle being fought for him and the world in the spirit realm through a surreal vision and experience.  God shows him the fierce fighting among angels, demons and principalities.  Loren unwittingly unleashes the evil spirits of Satan on his in a catastrophic struggle at the climax of the show.

The scene frightens Loren in to seeking help from the church and from his family.  He eventually wins and becomes a changed man.  His life is now filled with peace, understanding and God.
